Introduction
Ride for Rotary is a fundraiser event conducted by the renowned Rotary International Club which is present all over the world. By promoting fellowship in the Club, the event aims to raise funds that go to the Rotary Foundation.
The Challenge
A ride was organised from Goa to Chikmagalur by the Rotary Club (Mysuru Zone) which was looking at increasing the number of active Rotarians partaking in the event. For this very purpose, a strategy had to be devised.
The Solution
To reach out to fellow Rotarians inviting them to participate, e-mail marketing was the method approached by the agency. Around 30 – 40 thousand mails were sent to Rotarians across continents.
Results
The campaign fetched a result of 30 to 40 registrations. Despite the number of mails sent, this attribute arose because each registration cost $5000 (~ ₹4 lakhs upon exchange).
Conclusion
Email marketing is particularly helpful in reaching out to a huge chunk of the population if we get the right database. This strategy is helpful in making the end individual aware of the message intended to be communicated. While keeping the receiver engaged, this message is helpful in lead generation.
